In an effort to remain in step with Sprint and Verizon, AT&T Wireless has began a full court press sending out information about their 4G Network rollout.

Interestingly enough, on the new web landing page there is a pretty map with tons of blue dots.

Unfortunately, if you look closely at the bottom right – this map only depicts current and future 3G coverage – the 4G map isn’t available yet.

One thing that is refreshing is that AT&T is planning to rollout HSPA+ and LTE sometime in this calendar year.

As far as devices, right now it’s all about Android smartphones. The HTC Inspire, Motorola ATRIX and Samsung Infuse are the ones listed as coming soon.

The Droid X is Evo competition for those that prefer the Verizon network, and iPhone 4 competition for those that refuse to switch to AT&T (or want to leave AT&T). Well, all comparisons aside, the Droid X can definitely hold it’s own against the competition. The full featured sexy device boasts many features that some did not think would be in a smart phone for quite a while.

From the 8mp camera to the 720p HD video recording capabilities, the multimedia features make this phone stand out from the rest. Couple that with super fast response times, full featured email, and several apps available to complete just about any task that you might need and the Droid X may convince you to leave your laptop AND netbook at home.

I was lucky enough to receive a Droid X from Verizon for review a couple of weeks ago. I have really enjoyed using this device. I know that my iPhone 3Gs has been jealous.

My full review is posted over on LittleTechGirl.com. Please check it out.
